Walking with TREKnTRAIL
Below are some suggestions for the types of walks you can enjoy with us. Check out the TREKnTRAIL journey gradings so you can see how the colour codes relate to your needs.
Normally full days are planned for up to five hours and half days up to three hours. Longer walks can also be undertaken with us particularly if you wish to visit some of the more remote munros and maybe even experience an overnight stop in a bothy.
Don't forget that you don't have to book one of the suggested walks below, if you have something else in mind get in touch and we'll organise it for you. Choose an area or peak you want to visit and we'll organise it for you. (e.g. Cairn Gorm, Ben MacDui, Braeriach)
Forests & LochsWalking
A low level walk exploring some of the gorgeous forests and lochs close to Aviemore. Maybe Uath Lochans in the Invereshie Forest, Lochan Uaine in the Ryvoan Pass or Loch an Eilein and Gamhna in Rothiemurchus. A half day is also possible for £30/£6
Scenic TrekWalking
A lower level walk (up to 600m) taking in hills, lochs and forests with an emphasis on scenery and panorama. e.g. a trek into Coire an t'Sneachda and some of the other northern corries to marvel at the steep rocky cliffs and gaze down on Glenmore and Loch Morlich below.
Cairngorms TrekWalking
A High level walk. Spectacular scenery guaranteed. Perhaps across the cairngorm plateau along the rim of the northern corries or to the top of the spectacular perch of Lurcher's Crag and a descent into the Lairig Ghru returning via the Chalamain Gap.
Cairngorm MunrosWalking
Let's bag some Munros! (Mountains over 3000ft) You choose your objective(s)
Bothy TripWalking
A journey to some of the more remote areas of the cairngorms requiring an overnight stay in a bothy or a bivouac under the stars! e.g. Braeriach, Carn Toul and Angel's Peak (3rd, 4th and 5th highest in UK) and an overnight in Corrour Bothy.
